Call Amanda to schedule a training consultation. During the 1.5 hour consultation we will discuss evaluate your pets, needs, set training goals and create a training package to meet those goals. You will receive written hand outs, a letter re-capping our discussions, and 2 clickers. The fee is $60 per hour with the usual cost being $90 (1.5 hours).
The fast, effective way to train your pet without the work. Sessions are scheduled 2-4 times per week depending on the training goals we set. It is your choice to be present or not during these sessions which are usually scheduled weekdays between 8am and 2pm. Sessions are held in your home. Once weekly we will meet to review your pet’s progress and teach your pet how to perform his/her new skills for you. On average day training packages last 3-4 weeks and cost $35-45/hr depending on how many sessions are in the package selected.
Coaching is recommended for those who like to work with their pet on a regular basis on their own. These are intensive training sessions where Amanda will be coaching you through implementation of the techniques recommended during the initial consultation.
Training toys, clickers, no-pull harnesses and Gentle Leaders are all available through Pawsitively Pets, LLC. We don’t just sell it - we’ll teach you how to use it!
We will see aggressive pets. Please be aware that there are additional risks and concerns that need to be addressed when working with aggressive animals. Amanda will discuss individual safety protocols during your initial phone or email contact.
Considering having your dog tested as a therapy dog but not sure where to start? I will assess your dog and review areas to focus on prior to testing. Questions are welcome and printed information on local therapy dog groups will be provided.
We offer puppy classes for puppies ages 8 weeks to 4 months. Classes are located at Cleveland Road Animal Hospital and are held on Wednesday nights from 7-8 PM. Enrollment is open to the public. Our puppy classes focus on problem prevention by covering common puppy problems like: chewing, mouthing, leash pulling, jumping, and item stealing. In addition, your puppy will learn: sit, down, leash walking, and handling exercises for nail trims, grooming, and vet visits.
This class is geared for dogs 6 months and over and focuses on skills all dogs need to be successful family members. Leash walking, people greeting, meal time manners and fun tricks will be covered in this 4 week course. This class meets on Saturdays at PBS Animal Health from 11am - noon. The week following the conclusion of the course a Canine Good Citizen evaluation will be offered to those who wish to earn this certification for their dog.
This 6 week class is taught in a fenced outdoor area at Troutman Kutz & Kennels in Springville. Participants will learn about flyball, agility, dock diving, and other canine sports that anyone can participate in. This is a fun class for kids to enjoy spending time with the family dog!
Have you ever considered visiting hospitals, schools, nursing homes or other public places with your dog? Sharing your dog with college students missing their pets, children learning to read, and other people who love dogs is a very rewarding experience but there are rules and regulations to follow. In this 6 week course you’ll learn about the different testing bodies, benefits of having your dog registered as a therapy dog and brush up on the skills you need to pass the tests! Includes a Delta Society Pet Partners Team Training Manual ($40.45 cost). Testing options and dates for various organizations including Delta will be presented at the conclusion of the course.
